I’m Just Passing Through

So it’s been a little while since I posted last. Well a bit more than a little while. My last post was February first and it’s now the middle of September. Well first things first, for those that care, since I last posted I’ve sold a total of 7 books. All of those Stolen Memories on the kindle, my Amelia Bennett Chronicles were not a hit. I guess I’m ok with that, though it’s kind of amusing since I actually paid an editor to make sure they were perfect. Oh well. I didn’t do any promoting, had no online presence, and yet still sold 7.

Now that the sales information is out of the way I’ll get down to the explanation of my absence. Shortly before my last post I found out I was pregnant. Which was awesome since my husband and I had been trying for almost two years. The only problem was I had morning sickness that lasted 23.5 hours a day. So half an hour a day I could eat and if I missed that window anything I ate came right back up. It was lovely. I had absolutely no energy to do anything once I was out of work. Once my second trimester started my energy levels returned to normal but by then we were buying a house which ended up taking a lot of my time. By the time that was taken care of and we were moved in I was in my third trimester. And that’s where we are now. I’m in the home stretch just 3 weeks from my due date and I found myself with some creative energy and was able to get some writing done for the first time in forever.

I don’t expect this energy to last and I have no idea what’s going to happen once my daughter is born. I still plan on writing and I will definitely finish the Twin Moons of Andove trilogy but it’s going to take longer than I had originally intended so please be patient with me. I have no idea when my next update will be and my priority is going to be finishing the book not posting on this blog. So until next time…

  1. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. There are many of us out there, pregnant or Mums, trying to write books as well. It’s… interesting… but it can be done. Keep us posted.
